Executing the project plans

Project execution is all about getting things done. We can plan, make plans, revise plans, and plan to plan, but until we take action, until we execute, nothing gets done. I'm happy to report that I've been executing my plans over the past month.

My business has been growing and I've been teaching around the country quite a bit lately. Over the last month I delivered a PMP Boot in New York City, a Life Long Project seminar in Orlando, Florida, and a project management seminar in Columbus, Ohio. This month I'm finishing a writing project, starting a new writing project, and teaching a few seminars here in Indiana and in Ohio.

Looking ahead to May I'll be teaching a new presentation: a one-day PMP Cram Session at Ball State University Indianapolis. This one-day seminar is ideal if you need that final push of effort before passing your exam. May also has me in Houston, Arkansas, and Sweet Home Chicago.

My final public PMP Boot Camp before next fall is June 2-5 at Ball State University Indianapolis. If you want to enjoy your summer and put your PMP exam worries behind you, take four days and enroll in this seminar. We're offering a ten percent discount if you register two or more participants. You can find all the seminar details here.

As always, feel free to email me with any questions about my seminars.

Contact me today to schedule a seminar for your organization. All my best,

Life Long Project Continues
Lessons from the road

On April 1 I had the honor of sharing my Life Long Project life long project logopresentation at the Central Florida Project Management Institute Chapter in Orlando. Each time I deliver this presentation I can sense an incredible energy in the room - and April 1 was no exception. There were just over 100 people present that Tuesday evening and I was so humbled, thrilled, and honored to have been invited to share my mission.

I also recently visited with a chef in New York City and learned about his restaurant and love, City Hall. It was an honor to talk about life, business, and food with this chef. You can read about my lessons from the road in my latest blog entries. Read the rest of this article here.

GoCertify Interview with Joseph Phillips
Project management certification interview
Project management is a skill set that has stood the test of time and continues to be in strong demand and worth a good paycheck, thus the popularity of the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Professional certification. The PMP certification and its associate designation, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) are not actually specific to IT but rather cover project management as a discipline that can apply to just about any professional field. According to PayScale.com, the median salary for a Project Management Professional certification holder is $87,464 a year.
